People said in the survey: the most visible content on Facebook is the worst for the world; Mark Zuckerberg brought the poll open

Facebook has been accused of misinformation and promoting hate speech, but Mark Zuckerberg did not deal with it. But a Facebook survey showed him a mirror. Actually, the company had conducted a survey among its users whether they considered most of Facebook's posts to be good or bad for the world. Most users said that the most visible content on Facebook is the worst for the world.

The survey results have shocked the Facebook team. In fact, Facebook's team is struggling these days how to reduce misleading information without explaining the policy of the company. After the US presidential election, the meeting of Zuckerberg and Facebook employees was held only after the election related news became viral. In this, the team proposed an emergency change in the news feed algorithm.

Zuckerberg also agreed to this. In this, the news ecosystem quality of the secret internal ranking was implemented. It ranked the news publisher on the quality of their content. According to an employee, the change is part of Facebook's 'break glass' scheme. After this, content of big brands like CNN, New York Times and NPR increased on Facebook. While the content of right-wing media that spread misinformation was reduced.

The team at Facebook also designed an algorithm through machine-learning that predicts which posts a user might call bad. Such posts are not pushed. Initial testing has been successful in reducing objectionable content. However, this also reduced the number of people visiting Facebook. According to a Facebook executive, the results were good, but the sessions declined. The second plan was then worked out. Some Facebook employees believe such changes should be permanent.
