Researchers found T-cell receptor (TCR) and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) in cells. Such T-cell receptor was artificially prepared in the lab. It will be sent to the body's immune system, which will identify and eliminate cells infected with the corona.



Treatment will cost dear

According to the researchers, treatment with this immunotherapy will cost dearly. Special treatment equipment and more trained staff are needed to treat the virus in this way. Nothing can be said about how long it will take to treat the patient. The team is trying to eradicate the virus by the combination of antiviral drugs and T-cell receptor-chimeric antigen receptor to reduce the cost of treatment.



Therapy used in the treatment of cancer will work

These receptors are commonly used in cancer immunotherapy following changes in which they target cancer cells. Role of lymphocytes is important

According to Dr. Anthony Tonoto Tan, an expert working on this therapy, during the treatment of cancer, the body's immune cells (T-lymphocytes) are modified and find and eliminate cancer cells. However, it is difficult to say more on how much benefit will be given by this therapy in infection or any type of virus. According to Dr. Anthony, if the lymphocytes are replaced and kept active for some time, the risk of side effects in HIV and Hepatitis-B infection can be reduced. To what extent the corona can be stopped with the help of receptors, the team has started working on it.
